Young girl with serious leg injury air evac’d from Togwotee

JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — A helicopter was dispatched after a young girl complained that her “leg felt numb” following a snowmobile accident on Togwotee Pass.
Teton County Search and Rescue responded a call of a snowmachine accident involving a young girl with a serious leg injury at about 3:53pm on Saturday. The patient complained of being cold, in pain, and described her leg as numb.
Volunteers responded with a RZR, snowmobiles, and helicopter. The heli team made contact with the reporting party and landed near the patient. The team then packaged her and transported her to a waiting ambulance, completing the mission in under four hours.
No report of the condition of the young girl was immediately available.
