Broncs roll Red Devils for 2nd straight win
Jackson took the crowd out of it with a fast start
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Facing another young team desperate for a win, the Jackson Broncs took care of business and secured their second straight victory and first conference win of the season.
The Broncs started quickly off the bus, pounding the ball inside to their big man Andrew Hanna. Evanston’s Kai Barker could not handle Hanna inside and it wasn’t until the 2nd half that Red Devils’ coach Rob Watsabaugh switched into a sagging zone to double the 6’7” forward.
Even that wouldn’t help as coach Hayden Hatfield’s best kept secret on many nights is AJ Fowler. Fowler splashed 5 threes in 8 attempts for his 15 points.
The Broncs never trailed on their way to a 51-36 win over the Evanston Red Devils Saturday in Evanston.
Facing fullcourt pressure for nearly the entire game, Jackson ballers never flinched. Isaac Larsen and Seb Brunner simply dribbled their way out of traps and trouble and exposed odd-man situations under the basket as a result.
Andrew Hanna finished with 17. Gavin Keelin, Seb Brunner, and Sam Scott all added 5 each. Isaac Larsen pitched in 4 including a crowd silencing 3-ball early in the contest.
With the win, Jackson improves to 5-6 overall, 1-2 in conference. Evanston is now 3-10, 0-4.
