Broncs land 7 players to Wyoming All-State
Sadler-to-Nate top quarterback-receiver combo all-time
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — The Jackson Broncs received news this week that seven players from the 2021 team made All-State this year including a passing duo that now sits at the top of the record books.
Sadler Smith is now the all-time passing leader in Wyoming high school football with 3,459 yards. His favorite target Nate Keipert also sits at the top of Wyoming receivers with the most yards catching at 1,210.
Formerly, the records were held by Campbell County’s Dalton Holst for passing (3,190 yards in 2015) and Cheyenne East’s Chance Aumiller (1,121 yards in 2019).
Jackson went 9-3 this season and finished as Class 3A runners-up.
Smith also made the top 10 this season for single-game passing, with his 429-yard effort against Pocatello, now 3rd overall.
Jackson had five other players from this season’s roster receiving 2021 all-state football honors, as decided by the Wyoming Coaches Association.
Wide receiver Sam Scott (also 2020), running back Brody Hasenack (also 2020), defensive lineman Matt Carney (also 2020), linebacker Colter Dawson (also 2019, 2020), and Alexei DiDanato were all recognized by the WCA.
