Giants pick up 2 all-important conference wins with sweep of Stallions
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — The Jackson Giants picked up a couple of important conference wins Tuesday in Rock Springs as they swept the Stallions.
Jackson 9, Rock Springs 4
Aaron Huggins (7-3) powered his way to his 7th win, lowering his ERA to 3.81, while Ethan Garner led the offense with a double and a homer. Trayson Kostial added a 3-run blast of his own in the 6th to put the game away for the Giants.
Jackson 18, Rock Springs 5
Mason Wright followed his strong outing against Cheyenne last week with another impressive performance on the mound and a win against the Stallions in the nightcap to improve to 5-3 on the season.
But it was the offense that was the real story for Post 43. Jackson pounded out 16 hits over 5 innings. Everyone in the starting lineup had at least one hit—Ethan Garner (3-5, 1 RBI), Matt Fisher (2-3, 3 RBI), Bridger Hammond (2-3, 3 RBI), and Trayson Kostial (2-3, 1 RBI) had multi-hit games for the Giants.

The Giants are now 26-31 on the season. They play a doubleheader with the Idaho Falls Tigers (14-8) Thursday beginning at 5pm in Jackson. Both games will be carried by KZ95.
