Lady Broncs edged out in Riverton, clubbed by Cody
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — The Jackson Lady Broncs offense was a no-show over the weekend against Riverton and Cody. The two losses now have the Jackson girls at 2-11, 0-5.
Riverton 30, Jackson 24
For the second straight game, the Jackson girls limited their opponent to under 40 points but both times the Lady Broncs could not coax much more out of their offense.
The Lady Broncs trailed 13-5 at the half but came scratching back to eventually tie the game at 15-15 in the 3rd, and trailed by just 2 with under 6 minutes remaining in the final quarter.
But the Lady Wolverines hung on for the win at home. Casey Karr led the Lady Broncs with 9 points
Cody 53, Jackson 20
The girls didn’t figure to have much of a chance against the #1 team in the 4A: the Cody Fillies. Cody came storming out at the gate at home and grabbed an early lead they would never relinquish.
Cody’s Molly Hays was all over the court, racking up 22 points on the afternoon. Reece Neiman added 13 for the Fillies. Jackson was led by Anna Revill who put in 11 points. Rachel Noyce added 6.
Cody certainly showed why they were named the new No. 1 team in the WyoPreps Coaches and Media Poll this week.
