NWS: Snowy week in store for Jackson Hole
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — If snowfall means shoveling and plowing in your world, enjoy a quiet day today for resting up. You’re gonna need it. If fresh snow means fun in the outdoors, get ready for some steep and deep snorkel time this week.
How snowy is this week going to be? The National Weather Service has already issued a Winter Weather Advisory beginning tonight for expected snow. There is a very good chance that will be upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning before long, and weather watches and warnings look to be par for the course this week as a significant amount of snow is forecast for the entire week through Saturday.
The Jackson Hole area is in for 3-5 inches overnight with wind gusts to 35 mph.
“Plan on slippery road conditions. Intense snow showers and gusty winds will likely cause low visibility with areas of blowing snow,” NWS states.
After a brief pause Tuesday afternoon, repeated storm cycles will bring more snow all week. Total accumulation by Sunday will be measured in feet.
