Quality Educator Grants announced
Rotary Club of Jackson Hole Foundation and the Fund for Public Education release list of ’22 awardees
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — The Rotary Club of Jackson Hole Foundation (RCJHF) and Fund for Public Education (FFPE) announced recipients of the 2022 Rotary Quality Educator Grants.
This year the Jackson Hole Rotary’s Lunch Club Foundation awarded $8,000 in grants to local Teton County School District #1 teachers.
“We congratulate each and every applicant to the program, and are proud to announce the 2022 recipients, selected by the Rotary Club of Jackson Hole,” commented Rotarian Kevin Olson. “It’s inspiring to see our educators’ ambition for continuing education and classroom learning aids to benefit our local students at all grade levels.”
Each spring, in partnership with the RCJHF, the FFPE accepts grant applications from TCSD teachers, which are up to $1,000 each. The main criteria include: direct educational impact to students, benefit to the learning environment, and the opportunity to foster additional impact through “train the trainer” activities. The Rotary Foundation then chooses the winners.
Jason Bruni, executive director of the Fund for Public Education, said, “These grants are designed to support teachers in our community with special projects and professional development opportunities. Knowing we have educators who go above and beyond for themselves and their students is inspiring.”
