Town square lighting today, Small Business Saturday tomorrow
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. — Countdown to the town square lighting begins today. The event, which includes the arrival of Santa by firetruck, is the official start of the Christmas season in Jackson Hole.
The day begins at 4:30pm with holiday music provided by the JH Community Band and the JH Chorale. Then Mayor Hailey Morton Levinson will start the countdown to lighting the square promptly at 5pm.
Santa will make his appearance around 5:05pm before he departs to visit other neighborhoods around the valley.
All during the day today, local shops and restaurants will be offering holiday treats and special deals for the valley’s version of Black Friday. Tomorrow, shoppers can participate in Small Business Saturday.
